I took a spin at the raw food diet this past winter, and I want to try it again. The feeling you get after you eat something completely natural and pure is something you can't explain. It's just so good. I've been feeling sluggish and if I want to have a healthy lifestyle, why not start with the foods I eat. I won't dive right into it face first. It's very much a life change. Not just a diet change so it will take time. One day, I would LOVE to eventually get Kimber on this as well.

Lots of Sewing Projects to Do.
I'm back from a little recharging. I was sick the past few days and I didn't get anything done except for a lot sleeping. I didn't even get on the internet. I was so lazy. I did get some things done around the house that needed to be done. I cleaned out Kimber's closet and packed all of her old clothes. I also went through my closet. There were clothes in there I haven't worn in 4 years. We realized Jason needs a new style. Jeans and a t-shirt are not cutting it for him. Now we're ALL in desparate need of some new clothes. My style goal for myself and Kimber is to ONLY wear handmade or vintage clothing. This week I'm going to dust off my sewing machine and get working on some dresses for Kimber for the Fall.
Here are some cute patterns I want to try for my little one:

Someone to Be Creative With...
I recently found a long lost acquaintance from back in my college days. Her name is Chelsea and I had a speech class with her in a small community college. It's kind of strange how I found her. My ex from wayyyyyy back in day, whom I'm still really good friends with, just got engaged. His fiance and I have become friends and for some reason we got on the topic of Etsy. I told her that I have started my own Etsy shop and she said that her sister had one also, so I found her sister and added her on Facebook and to my favorites on Etsy. I didn't really look at her pictures on Facebook, but I did look at her beautiful paintings. They're SO good. So, yesterday Chelsea messages me on Facebook and says that she didn't know why I added her, but she began looking at my pictures and remembered that we took a class in college. That was 5 years ago. We BOTH look different. We then got on the topic of Etsy and we found out that we have the same kind of business goals, we both have JUST started our shops on Etsy, we both JUST got married, we even live 5 minutes away from each other. FREAKING weird!! I'm not sure if you guys understand how strange it is to find someone like us in Fort Worth, TX. People look at us weird because of our passion for creating indie art and handmade goodies while drinking wine and listening to our favorite vinyls. People in Fort Worth are very conservative and sometimes very cold hearted. I almost gave up hope on finding someone like myself to share this crazy passion. I'm glad I didn't!! I have a feeling this is a start of an AMAZING friendship and hopefully a start of a new business partner!
(This has to be my favorite painting of Chelsea's)

Yarn Bombing.
I've been so obsessed with crocheting lately that I want to start a Yarn Bombing group in the Dallas/Fort Worth area starting in the fall. Yarn bombing is a type of street art consisting of a group of knitters and crocheters who go around and turn cold lifeless places into something fun and exciting. It's graffiti knitting but unlike normal spray paint graffiti, it's easily removeable if needed aaaaand it's not for street thugs. Just normal people wanting the world look a little more cheerful. :) If you're interesting in starting a group like this with me, let me know!!

Redhead?
My hair has been all sorts of colors. Most recenty, I've sported dark brown hair. I like it, but lately I've been wanting to try out being a redhead. I've never try it before, but with my pale complexion and my freckles, I think I can pull it off. Any thoughts? Here are a few (ok..maybe a lot) of my favorite pictures of redheads.
Wishing for Fall to Come Faster...
It's been so unbarably hot in Texas. It's been a steady 105 for the past two weeks. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 107!! Breaking the record high set back in 1956. EEEK! And of course the heat index is going to be a staggering 110 or 112 degrees. They've advised people to stay indoors if possible. With all this hot weather, I've been wishing for Fall to come a little faster this year. Here are some inspirational pictures to help cool you down and make you think of my most favorite season.
Pretty Leaves.
This dress is ADORABLE. Maybe I should dye my hair auburn like this for Fall. Hmmm.
Pumpkin Pie.
Pumpkin Spice Latte...my most FAVORITE latte flavors from Starbucks!!!
Pumpkin Patches.
Halloween. I think we're going to be Indians this year. What are you going to be?
I hope you liked my Fall inspired blog!

Progress...
I'm progressing with my 4 Simple Goals list. I started today with making to do list so it will be hard for me to procrastinate. I got a lot done today around the house that needed to be done. Simple things like all the laundry, vacuum, sweep, mopped, washed all the dishes, made a menu, and grocery list. I also called Kimber's doctor for her 2 year check up. She's about 4 months past due on her check up. Thankfully she hasn't missed any shots. I have a horrible habit of keeping ALL bills that are mailed to me. Even after I paid them. I went through a huge pile and threw away the ones that I have paid. I started a workout routine that I plan on doing daily. Pretty simple...just 200 crunches, 50 tricep dips, 50 lunges, and 50 step ups. I will increase the number every two weeks or so.
I guess my 4 Simple Goals list will turn into many smaller goals. Eh..it's ok. It's my list of goals and I can do them the way I want. :)
Oh! I found this fantastic band called Dry the River. I can't get enough of them. I love all their songs. PLEASE check them out. You'll be glad I told you about them.

4 Simple Goals (before 2011)
I'm all about goals. I love making lists of things I want and need to do to establish a better life. I was reading one of my favorite blogs by Miss (soon to be Mrs.) Elsie Flannigan and she created a special project called "4 Simple Goals". It's pretty self explanatory, but here are the guidelines...
1. choose simple goals that will make your life richer and happier on a daily basis. choose things you may not otherwise get done, but that are not difficult to accomplish.
2. do not choose result oriented goals, choose activity oriented goals. for example.... instead of "lose 10 pounds", choose something like "eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day". get what i'm saying? positive actions instead of just the end result!
3. choose goals that are personal that you believe will truly make your life richer just by doing them! they can be daily, weekly or one time experiences.
4. choose a reward for each goal as it is accomplished! it can be a small or large reward.
5. blog your goals, each one as you achieve it and a big post when they are all finished before the new year! i'll be doing this too! links back to this post are appreciated.
PS: Elsie's link is to the right. She's the one holding the fox mask.
Here are my 4 Simple Goals...
1. Stop Procrastinating.
I Procrastinate WAYYYY too much than I need to which tends to get me into trouble. I have a lot of things I want to do and the reason I feel like I can't get them done is because I wait until the last minute to start. This will show in more blogs, more full nights of rest, just more productivity. Productivity is what I need to get to where I want to be. I'm not getting any younger.
2.Work harder on The Crafty Fox Etsy Shop.
If I ever want to quit my day job, I HAVE to work harder. I only have four items in my shop and I haven't sold anything. I also need to start advertising my Etsy shop more.
3.Make a creative space for my projects.
We live in a 3 bedroom house. One bedroom, of course is the master, the second one is Kimber's room and the other was Jason's office, but is now a room for our new roommate. There is WAY too much going on here at the house to find a quiet, creative space. If there are any ideas for this problem, pass them on this way!
4.Start a Wardrobe Remix on Flickr.
This means getting a better camera, taking more pictures, and possibly having a clothing trading party with friends every month.
Welp...there they are. My 4 simple goals. Your turn!!!

10 Things I Love Sunday.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Mine has been a little topsy-turvy since we got back from Portland. Yesterday, I even got up at 4:30am, got in the shower, got dressed and came to work and realized that I didn't have to work yesterday. Haha! I hope I can get my mind straight soon. I'm super motivated and ready to get life back on track. Here are 10 things I love this week! Enjoy!
1. This stencil that Jay Wilkinson made of our friend Dave that just passed away. Let's see where he ends up!! I'm pretty sure he made copies of this stencil. I need to get my paws on one of them.
2. This ADORABLE wrapped fox t-shirt.
3. Kimber. I love her EVERYDAY, but she's been super sweet lately. She helped me cook last night and she loves watching me put my make up on. I let her do her own eye shadow the other day. It was the shimmery stuff so it wasn't as noticable compared to say...black or gray. She did a good job. She decided that it should go on her eyebrows too. Her face lit up as she was doing it. She REALLY wants to be a ballerina. I think I should sign her up for some dance classes soon. I love watching her blossom everyday.
4. These cute customized dolls. This has Kimber's name all over it.
5. While in Portland we past by A LOT of bikes on the sidewalks. Some of them had cute crocheted accessories to set them apart from one another. I wouldn't mind creating one of these.
This one is my favorite.
6. Being given a bouquet of fresh lavender on the streets of Portland by random strangers. ::SNIFF:: Ahhhhh! Magical.
7. This dress. To die for.
8. Beards.
9. Bubble tea...it's been too long.
10. Breakfast food. I love it...anytime of day. :)
