These little retro Christmas Ornaments are beyond adorable. You could use them as ornaments, make them into a cute little Christmas garland to be wrapped around your Christmas tree or on your fireplace, gift tags, the list goes on and on.
SUPPLIES:
-Yarn. I'm using two colors.
-Crochet hook. F/5-3.75MM
-Things to embellish the ornaments, i.e. buttons, embroidery thread.
PATTERN:
-Start with magic circle method.
-Round one: Ch 3, 11 dc into ring. Pull string tight. (as shown)
slst in top of beginning ch.
*if you are going to change colors, do so now. Fasten off first color and sl st other color at beginning st. (as shown)
-Round two: Ch 3, dc in first st from previous round, 2 dc in each of next 5 st (as shown)
2 treble crochet and picot* in next st, 2 treble crochet in the next st, 2 dc in remaining st, sl st in top of beginning ch.
*To make the picot ch 3 and sl st into third ch from your crochet hook.
-Round three: Ch 2, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in next stitch, fasten off. Weave in any lose strings.
-Embellish with embroidery string, buttons, etc.
Hang and enjoy! 'Tis the season for crafting!!
