End of May//Road trip to Austin.

Beginning of August//Road Trip to Colorado.
To see the talented Mr. Bird.

End of September//Flight to Portland, OR.

I want to be a Go-Getter.

So, I've changed my mind about my Halloween costume for this year. I've decided to be my favorite character from my favorite scene of my favorite movie, The Go-Getter.

I adore this movie. It makes me want to go on a random road trip...minus the stolen car of course.

And it makes me miss Oregon. :(

Our Portland Trip. Part Three.

After another night of awesome-ness with Jeremy and Molly went back to our hotel for some rest. I really miss that bed. It was so comfy.

We woke up early enough for brunch at Mother's Bistro & Bar and I'm really glad we waited in the long line. That was the best brunch I ever had.

I ordered the Grilled Portabella Mushroom Scramble. Best decision ever.

After brunch we went to Buffalo Exchange again so I could get a jacket. It was chilly that day and I knew it would be colder when we went to the coast.
We went back to our hotel room for another nap. We really like sleeping. Jeremy and Molly picked us up and we headed to the coast!

This is Jeremy and Molly. One of the cutest couples ever and they were fantastic tour guys. I'm so glad they were there to experience all this with us.

After a nice frolic on the West Coast shore we ate some dinner at a pub and Jeremy drove us back to our hotel for our last night in Portland. :( We'll see you again soon, Portland.

Our Portland Trip. Part Two.

We slept for a long time on the first night. We were so tired. The first day started at 3:30am. EEEK! Oh yeah...and I forgot. We had a celebrity sighting at the Portland Airport. Jason and I were standing near the baggage claim and a guy was standing behind us. Jason looks back and says, "is that Gallagher?". I looked behind me and I shook my head, "Nah...that's just some guy." We stood there for a few more minutes and the guy walks away...and he had a huge mallet in a clear plastic bag. It WAS Gallagher.

Back to the second day of our vacation...
We woke up late and had a little time to eat brunch at Tropical Smoothie Cafe and then we went to Powell's Bookstore to waste a little time until Jeremy got off work.

I got this book. I love it.

I got this one for Kimber.

Jason got some comic books. I'm not sure which ones he got.

THEN...we went to Buffalo Exchange and I got two adorable outfits. I wish I would of taken a picture of them. One was a white mexican oaxacan which is ADORABLE with my wide brown belt and I also got a peter pan collar blouse and a cute vintage skirt. I'll post pictures of them when I wear them again.

THENNN..we went to Stumptown to have a cup of coffee and read our new books.

After our cup of coffee, we went RIGHT next door to our hotel to take a much needed nap.

Jeremy picked us up to take us to, not just one, but TWO fantastical view spots.
We had to hike a little to get to the first one.

BUUUUT, it was worth it.

We jumped in the car and drove to another view spot. Multnomah Falls. SOOOOO pretty.

We made our way back to downtown, helped out Molly with moving her last things from her apartment and then we went to this awesome restaurant. I can't rememeber the name. :/ But I had a fantastic veggie burger. Yummmm!

I'll have part three of our trip posted by tomorrow. :)

Our Portland Trip. Part one.

We had the BEST time in Portland. I didn't want to leave. My heart fluttered as our plane took off in Portland and I couldn't see the trees anymore. We got back last night and I had to come to work early this morning so I was slammed back into reality pretty fast. Thanks to our fantastic tour guides, Jeremy and Molly, we got to see some pretty amazing stuff.

The plane ride to Portland.

On the MAX to meet Jeremy.

This is the first place we stopped in Portland. We had our luggage with us while we waited in line...for thirty minutes. The wait was totally worth it.

This is my Voo Doo Doll doughnut. It was filled with raspberry jelly. Yummmm.

While waiting in line at Voo Doo Doughnuts, I took this picture.

Food carts like these are found on almost every street in downtown. I thought this one was cute.

Our second stop was Buffalo Exchange. I got a dress, a skirt, and a cute peter-pan collared top for SUPER cheap.

Our room number at the Ace Hotel.

Our bed.

The cute little sink.

The mural in our room.

Out our window.

We ate dinner here...oh MAN. It was so good.

An amazing view of downtown Portland at sunset.

After watching the sunset, Jeremy and Molly took us to this crazy block party thing called Last Thursday. I was randomly handed fresh lavender as I made my way through the crowded streets. It smelled so good.

This is a fire dancer that was dancing while a band played.

An Indian group singing on the street. It was beautiful.

This was all on our first day...I'll post part two sometime today.

The Places We'll Go...

in Portland.

Potato Champion

Voodoo Doughnut

Powell's Book Store

Buffalo Exchange

Chinese Garden

Rose Garden

The Farmhouse Cafe.
I was watching FoodNetwork the other day and on the show "The Best Thing I Ever Ate", Duff Goldman from Ace of Cakes was talking about an awesome veggie burger from this place. It looked SO good, so I have to go here.

We're going to play it by ear too. I don't want this vacation to be TOO planned out. I'm ALWAYS on a schedule here in the real world. I don't want to have a schedule while I'm on vacation.
